Marchesi 1824: Almost Two Centuries of Pastry Delights

Being at Marchesi 1824 is a pure delight for all the senses. The sight will be spoiled by the ancient mirrors, the coffered ceilings, art decò style which set the ambiance for both the first Marchesi 1824 boutique in the Magenta neighborhood and the two others in via Montenapoleone and in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Muffled voices get mixed with few soft notes of a faraway jingle for the sound part, while you enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The sight, smell, and taste part? Allow us a long-paragraph description.

Our Gourmet Selection in Florence: Pane & Olio

In order to spotlight our favorite places all over Italy which we truly adore, we created this section as a celebration of innovative new cuisine in the city. Si mangia?!   Our first stop in this gourmet mouthwatering world is Pane e Olio in Florence. Discovering unbeaten paths in Florence is never an easy task. Especially when it comes to food. But here we are to share with you a place we went with a beloved bride-to-be from Brasil, to get her foodie cuddles before locking her (and her bridesmaids) out in a luxury spa for an exclusive and regenerating pre-nuptial retreat.  Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_4___Wedding_Date_in_Italy Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_8___Wedding_Date_in_Italy

Bringing our Brasilian Bride-To-Be to a Secret Gourmet Place in Florence

Located just a stone thrown from the very center of Florence by the charming banks of the Mugnone’s river and of “Ponte Rosso”, Pane & Olio turns an old-fashioned historical Florentine restaurant into a newly renovated Bistrot. Its 16-seats policy provides an intimate and exclusive experience, where the cozy atmosphere will set the perfect framework for a unique and satisfying wine and food experience. Here, everything follows the seasonality of the products, and there is a love for handmade products such as pasta you have always dreamed about. During the lovely spring in Florence, we will be delighted to book for you a table in the romantic dehors, lit by candlelight for an unforgettable dinner. Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_7___Wedding_Date_in_Italy Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_11___Wedding_Date_in_Italy

Who is behind the project of Pane e Olio

An authentic foodie experience in that heavenly place called Florence. Here, you may have the privilege of observing your meal prepared by two young people symbols of the Florentine nouvelle vague cuisine: Gianluca Gafforio and Aldo Ventre. These two young Italian entrepreneurs and chefs have been dedicating their  “body and soul” in this project, sharing the Italian art of conviviality through a kind and attentive service. Pane & Olio is a place where the tradition of wines and food hospitality has been a value since 1988. Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_3___Wedding_Date_in_Italy Pane_e_Olio_Firenze_4___Wedding_Date_in_Italy
